  • Standing a couple of kilometres west of the old city atop a 200m high hill, this remote Temple of the Stone Bridge gets its name from the exhausting climb up steep pathway that leads to the summit. Wh...  more »
  • It is located on the west side, a place that is not a major place in Sukhothai. If you drive around the north and run along the road for about 15 minutes, you'll find a gate to the west, which is a short distance away. There were a lot of places where the person of security was in the vicinity of the ruins entrance probably because of the event in the west. It's hard to climb in the hot weather, but you can imagine the ruins buried in the forest with great scenery. There were ruins here and there when i went around the west side by bicycle, and it was interesting. If you have time, it is recommended.

  • Nice Buddha statue on the top of a small hill. It's a 5min hike to reach the top, nothing challenging for able-bodied people. Nice for sunset and just after it. To be honest, I don't think for 100 baht (+10 or 20 baht if you come by bicycle/motorcycle) it is really worth it... Sure once you paid you can check-out the other places West of the old town, but we found that those places were of relatively small interest... This could also be because we've seen loads of other more impressive sites than this one...
  • It's interesting to see this small ruin. Really beautiful and nice. Normally people go there for the sunrise but I went there after the sun went up. The entrance of the west part of ruins was 100b with 10b extra for the bike or 20b extra for the motorbike. It's a bit pricey so it's nice to rent a motorbike and look around the full area without getting too tired. I really enjoyed it.
