Erawan Museum reviews
400b for foreigners, 30b for locals. The rip off is in no way justifiable. Tiny place, out of the way. more »
23 October 2020 - public holiday for some in Thailand.. And i took the morning to visit the Museum. Nearest BTS Chang Erawan.. And about a 10 minute walk from there.. Entrance 400 THB for tourists... more »
It's a beautiful place to spend an evening. Entry after 5pm costs only 200 baht and gives you 2 hours to explore the place - which can be done comfortably. I'm not sure the place is big enough to warrant the 400 baht regular entry fee. Nevertheless, the giant three headed elephant statue is truly impressive. Be sure to wear long pants for entry into the central shrine under the three-headed elephant statue.
If you are into asian art this is a great place to visit, full of some fabulous pieces inside a huge three headed elephant. The top floor has a wonderful collection of ancient images of the Buddha. There is also a small cafe In the grounds with a very pleasant garden to sit in. You will need to dress sensibly for the museum and there is a double entry price policy, Europeans 400Baht Thai citizens 200Baht.
