At the southern tip of Ko Lanta Yai, Mu Koh Lanta National Park boasts a gorgeous beach and mountainous terrain popular with hikers, sunbathers, and divers. You'll enter at the top of a steep hill, which you can descend by car or along the nature trail instead. At the bottom, you'll see a conspicuous old lighthouse on a hill jutting into the sea. Hike up to the lighthouse or simply relax on the white-sand beach, where the clear, calm water is perfect for swimming. Be careful not to leave your bags unattended on the sand, however, because the unscrupulous resident monkeys will eagerly search them for food. Mu Koh Lanta National Park Reviews

But the lighthouse is nice, the 2 beaches quite good. Missed the afternoon at Sandy Beach including monkey attack and fight. Terrible at the moment, funny after that. Definitely stop by.
Situated in the southern-most tip of Koh Lanta this national park is well worth a visit. It is not free and as usual - foreign tourists pay many times the Thai entrance price, though they did let me i... more »
Definitely worth a visit. Entrance fee is 200 baht per person, plus 20 per scooter, but you can easily spend the whole day. The walk through the jungle takes about 40-60 minutes depending on the heat and fitness. From the lighthouse you have a great view in all directions, and a few nice photo opportunities. Then there's the white sandy Beach with beautiful clear water you can spend the rest of the day.
Great place for a half day trip if staying in Koh Lanta. Be prepared to drive on steep hills to get there. Entrance fee is 200 baht for foreigners and it's way cheaper for Thai people, +20 baht for scooter. There is a rocky and a sand beach (you can swim here), well maintained picnic area (be aware of monkeys), toilets, showers. At the time when we visited there was no food service, only drinks and ice cream. Visitor center is very poor. Paved hiking trail (1.7km) through the rain forest was amazing with a lot of stairs.
