Ton Chong Fa Waterfall Reviews
The track to these falls varies from a road to stumbling over tree roots to visit the five levels of waterfall but well worth a little energy. The vegetation is rewarding, there are a range of reptile... more »
Magnifique endroit, de plus en plus en montant ! Attention néanmoins, je déconseille aux enfants et personne âgées, plus vous montez, plus vous escaladez des endroits peu "commodes", assez glissants e... more »Beautiful place, more and more on the way up! Be careful nevertheless, I advise against children and elderly people, the higher you climb, the more you climb places little "convenient", quite slippery etc. You really feel the climbs once you've done it! Nothing to drink or eat so to be absolutely expected. Taxis drop you off/wait as long as you want downstairs. After all this climb, there is nothing like swimming in the cool water of the waterfalls (with little fish that keep coming to/on you) Take sneakers!!
Beautiful waterfall! Has 5 different levels, the 2 first ones are good for swimming, the third is okay but the forth is stunningly beautiful. Well worth to spend an afternoon here. Remember good shoes if you want to reach the higher levels. Costs 200 THB as it is a national park but well worth it.
We went from the coast hotel La Vela by taxi. 400 Bat one way. He waited for us for two hours for 800 Bat. You can walk but its not a nice one. Rental bike or taxi recommended. Especially if you have kids. On site entrance fee is 200 Bat adult/100 for kids. The walk up the mountain is mainly easy in the beginning but later hard, warm and steep. Bring good shoes. But its worth it! Level 1 take perhaps 15-20 min. First stop the fish “eating” of your feet. Great fun and weird feeling. Kids loved it. Next stop is waterfall level 1 of 3. Beautiful!! Nice to bathe in. Bring swimsuit. Perhaps let the waterfall pound on your back? Powerful and nice feeling. Since we had kids we stopped there. Others said that level 1 was the best. Rest is smaller. Also we saw a lot fascinating plants, trees, butterflies and lizards. We enjoyed the 2,5 h trip, recommend it and think its a nice break from the beach.
