Erawan waterfall, Erawan National Park

4.3
#1 of 41 in Parks in Kanchanaburi Province
Marvel at the power and beauty of nature at Erawan waterfall, a seven-tiered waterfall that cuts right through the national park bearing its name. Swim in the pools created by the flowing giant, and admire the surrounding caves, replete with interesting rock formations. With great views of the surrounding landscape from each level of the waterfall, getting to the top isn't a requirement, but more adventurous visitors may wish to expend the energy. A great variety of wildlife awaits, but take care lest you come across the more dangerous inhabitants, such as the king cobra or python. • The visit on the first 5 levels is easy, then a little steeper to go up to level 7 .... but it's worth the effort. There is the possibility to bathe on all levels. In the "spring" it must be beautiful with flowering. We took the bus from kanchanabury (1h30-2h drive)

  • Very many people, hard to get into the water. We went to the fourth waterfall, then it was enough. Many people and a lot of climbing work to get into the water. In the water, large fish swim to the skin.
