Chiang Mai Night Safari, Chiang Mai

3.0
#3 of 7 in Zoos & Aquariums in Chiang Mai Province
Catch a glimpse into the nocturnal lives of various animals at Chiang Mai Night Safari. You'll board an open-sided safari bus to tour the two zones in the park. In the first zone you will see animals such as zebras, and red kangaroos, while inquisitive giraffes poke their heads into the bus and may feed straight from your hand. In the second zone, various predators prowl, from lions and tigers to black bears and crocodiles. While waiting for the tour to start, cabaret dancers will keep you entertained. (And, despite the name, the zoo is also open during the day). Make Chiang Mai Night Safari part of your personalized Chiang Mai itinerary using our Chiang Mai online driving holiday planner .

  • Night zoo is very famous in Chiang Mai, it is recommended not to go during the holidays, there will be a lot of people, take the cable car needs to wait a long time. My brother likes this zoo very much, can come to walk a little earlier, you can see a lot of animals, like.

  • The first time i visited the zoo at night, it was a very special experience. The itinerary is quite compact, respectively, herbivores, car predators, cable car visits, tiger shows, wildlife shows, and time to take pictures with small animals. Various performances are time-bound, so be sure to plan your time before visiting, or you will waste too much waiting time. This trip is suitable for taking children.

  • Had visited the safari 5 years ago and there were more animals in the wild animals section but looks like all the animals are now taken and trained for the shows. So they have the Tiger show which I feel is torture for the animals, they also have a predators show which again I didn't watch. They have coffee shops and restaurants. Please don't forget to carry the insect repellent. Good place for kids also they learn the difference between a zoo and safari.
  • Very diverse wildlife. Although there are spots where it was not maintained properly or that the animals are in solitary confinement. But still, I had a great time at Chiang Mai Night Safari. The guide was very helpful and accommodating. Everyone who works their are friendly too. The highlight would probably be the tiger show where the trainers get to interact with the tigers.
