A little off the beaten path, Wat Bowonniwet Vihara allows you to experience the religious and cultural aspects of Thailand. In fact, even the King has spent some time in monkhood here. It is usually not crowded, so you can relax and take your time enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and fascinating architecture that the temple has to offer. Appreciate the intricate details and murals on the walls as well as the ornate golden Buddha statues. Entrance is free, but you will have to take your shoes off, as footwear is prohibited inside. Wat Bowonniwet Vihara reviews

One of the first temples I visited in Thailand and it was magnificent. That golden tower in the middle is so grand. I never had a chance to go inside the temple as I was wearing shorts during that time. I highly advise that you come properly dressed so as you have a chance to see the interior. This is to respect the place as people come to pray as well. No shorts and sandos which I assume the same rule for other temples based on what I saw from the notice around.

Beautiful temple, extra clean and fantastic architecture, it’s a in a whole block so there are several different buildings to admire, there’s also public restrooms which are extremely clean.
