Tamshui Fisherman's Wharf, New Taipei

#15 of 434 in Things to do in New Taipei
Pier / Boardwalk · Hidden Gem · Landmark
A well-known spot in the country, Tamshui Fisherman's Wharf has a reputation for picturesque sunsets, fresh seafood, and leisurely strolls along the seafront. The wharf has enjoyed a recent makeover, with the boardwalk now populated with restaurants, shops, and hotels, as well as a modern pedestrian bridge dubbed "Lover Bridge of Tamsui," which lights up vibrantly at night. Still a functioning harbor, the wharf sees the coming and going of a range of vessels. Look out for so-called "party boats," which have become more popular with the rise in the area's youth culture.
