  • Kaohsiung's National Science & Technology museum is easily accessible by bike, car, taxi, Uber, or the train. Parking is very limited, so definitely consider a public transit option if you can. Once you arrive, the center is surrounded by a lovely park, with nice shade. Inside, after a nominal admission (NT$100), there are multiple floors of exhibits and theatres to entertain for hours. Most exhibits have some English text, but most are only spoken in Chinese. But that didn't stop me from playing the many interactive stations. There is a massive 6 story slide that every small child will want to try. It will take your family several visits to see and do all that the NSTM has to offer.
  • I don't like to go to the museum, but I've changed my idea when I visited here because museum here is alive. There are so many parts of the museum for visitors to participate the activities, sounds like learning by doing. Theories are not theories anymore. The best part that I loved the most were 2 parts, earthquake situation and be a pilot. Even there are some parts to be charged, but it's worth to pay. From TRA Science and technology station around 5 mins by walking. Great place for family.
