Tuntex 85 Sky Tower, Lingya

Climb to the top of the lofty Tuntex 85 Sky Tower and enjoy panoramic views across the cityscape, watching the comings and goings of vessels in Kao port. Standing at 347.5 m (1,140 ft) high, and with a form based on the first Chinese "kanji" (character) of the city's name, the tower was the tallest structure in Taiwan until it was superseded by the Taipei 101 in 2009. Occupied by offices, a department store, and a hotel, the 44th floor of the hotel was omitted due to eastern numerical superstition, and from the 45th floor to the 83rd, the structure contains one of the highest continuous atriums in the world.
