Guandi Temple, Lingya

#17 of 96 in Historic Sites in Kaohsiung
Religious Site · Hidden Gem · Architectural Building
Packed with devotees praying for good fortune and health at all times, Guandi Temple is an ancient shrine dedicated primarily to Guan Yu, a general of the Eastern Han dynasty known for his courage and loyalty. A large statue of Guan Shengdi occupies the main hall on the second floor. The surrounding market area is packed with food stalls selling local specialties such as oyster pancakes.
