The mountain has faults running across the southeast and northwest contours with volcanic landforms like hot springs and fumaroles.
is a round volcanic dome looking like a black gauze cap. As the lava was more viscous when the mountain was formed, it gradually became a tholoid, also known as a cumulo-dome volcano, it's 643m above sea level. Shamaoshan and Qigushan (七股山, 890m) are parasitic volcanoes of Qixingshan.
This mountain is the source of the name for Shichisei District (七星郡), Taihoku Prefecture, Taiwan under Japanese rule. This district included modern day Xizhi, Shilin, Beitou, Nangang, Neihu, Songshan, and Xinyi.
Qixing Mountain Reviews
more »You can take a bus ride under the cold water pit. The waves of the trail are not very steep, not even the slopes, and it takes a little force to walk up. The mountain is very often up, but it is not good, but also enjoy the feeling of shuttle in the sky. Don't slide, be careful.
視野好時可以遠眺101, 非常值得攻頂! more »Located on the mountain, it takes a short time for the small oil pit to attack, you can come back from the original road or walk to the cold water pit, all the way is the stone road, the building began to climb the mountain in the morning, the afternoon is many, the mountain also gathered a lot of people, there is no room to rest to see the scenery. And after noon it began to cool, a big difference from the morning's chill. When the wild can look over 101, it is very worthy of attack!
