The Prime Tower, also named "Maag-Tower" in an earlier stage of planning, is a skyscraper in Zurich, Switzerland. At a height of 126m, it was the highest skyscraper in Switzerland from 2011 until 2015, when the Roche Tower in Basel (standing at 178m) was finished. The building is located near the Hardbrücke railway station. The tower replaces an industrial facility that has been demolished. According to its developers, the tower's construction, which took 15 years to plan and execute, was a financial success, with its valuation based on lease rates exceeding the construction cost by CHF 110 million. The tower and its two companion buildings, Cubus and Diagonal, are used primarily as office buildings. As of its opening in December 2011, the tower hosts the "Clouds" restaurant on its top floor, a conference center, the Hotel Rivington & Sons on the ground floor, as well as the offices of Deutsche Bank Schweiz, Homburger AG, Swiss & Global Asset Management AG, Transammonia, Korn/Ferry International, Citibank Switzerland, Infosys, Repower AG, Ernst & Young, Zürcher Kantonalbank and consulting companies. To visit Prime Tower on your trip to Zurich, use our Zurich visit planner.
Prime Tower Reviews
This fairly new, modern skyscraper is the tallest building in Zurich and it can be seen from all over Zurich. Probably the best view we got was from the train as we circled around it. more »
The panorama is amazing but the price is really too high for what you eat. The food is nothing special. more »
Prime Tower located in Zürich West. Only the Roche Building 1 is a higher skyscraper in Switzerland. It hosts a restaurant named Clouds on the top floor. On the ground floor I recommend to drink an espresso. Unique atmosphere with cool sound.
This place is my favorite place for drinks in Zürich. I love the drinks here. I love the place too and being on top of the clouds bar was just beautiful. Nice view +1. Sadly the staff here doesn’t seem to happy or nice, they seem very money oriented and only want people who spend a lot. This is a great place to get drinks with friends. It is very expensive though but luxury has its price. The bar at the ground floor has super nice bartenders and great drinks too so if the top is full (or you’re scared of heights) the other bar is very cool too.
