Walk along the footpath at Aare Gorge to see the Aare River up close and experience its power. A product of glaciations many millennia ago, the river carves dramatically through a limestone ridge. Although less than 1.5 km (0.9 mi) in length, the walls of the gorge reach up 50 m (165 ft) on both sides. Visitors have walked the gorge for over 100 years, although the footpath, which clings to the walls, is much safer and more modern today. You can relax afterwards with a coffee and cake at one at one of the entrance restaurants. Wear sensible shoes and a waterproof jacket to shield you from the river's spray. Aare Gorge Reviews
Via Oost naar west gelopen en vanuit daar met trein weer terug. Mooie Schlucht en paar mooie plekjes en natuur gezien. Pad uitstekend bewandelbaar en prima onderhouden. For everyone this is fine to walk. If it is out of season and there is no Touristenbussen full..... Then you can walk fine. So look for the moment. With much fuss, it loses its charm and experience.
Очень фивописный тоннель, цена за вход с лихвой компенсируется шикарными фоточками. Мы были с двумя детьми - осилили примерно две трети тоннеля. Был бы один - ушел бы дальше гулять по ущелью. There would be one-went further to walk on the gorge. The place is intriguing, you want to go canoeing.
Different gorge view compared with Norway. You can "walk" the gorge around the mountains here with cool air passed by. Enjoyable journey.
An absolute must if you are visiting Switzerland!! Iconic mountains and the power of mother nature packed into a narrow canyon.
