The Musée Bolo is an exhibition at the School of Computer And Communication Sciences at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Lausanne, Romandy, Switzerland. Each exhibit has a different theme such as original microcomputers, video game consoles, and computers organized by country. Posters next to each display case explain the exhibits. Currently it houses around fifty computers. It contains the private collection of the hardware engineer Yves Bolognini.
Within the museum is a collection of old computers dating from the 1960s to the 1990s in danger of disappearance. This is named Bolo’s Computer Museum, (BCM) and opened in June 2002. Besides old computers, this collection includes other items associated with old computers, such as peripheral devices, hardware documentation and related books and magazines.
On 10 November 2011, BMC opened its permanent exhibit, titled "Programmed disappearance", which includes the rarest objects of its collection. Its theme is the various ways in which computers, through trends suchas as miniaturisation or Cloud computing, tend to blend into the background of everyday life and become both pervasive and invisible.
In 2017, Logitech put a number of rare or iconic items on display

  • Small museum lost in the middle of the immense EPFL (building INF), in the middle of Amphi, this museum remains nevertheless quite poor, little model despite some interesting pieces (ZX 81, Osborne1). The most interesting are the working machines Cray and Cray T3D a historiography a little simplistic, that PC under display (none in operation) positive point, it's free and it's rare in Switzerland.

  • If you're in the area from the edge of Lake Geneva Lausanne push up to the EPFL, there are several impressive buildings and the Bolo Museum. Museum dedicated a computer, you will see since the creation of the machine until today, when I saw a commodore 64 makes me smile and cry because I remembered my age.. .and when I used a last time I was 11... This is q UOI short Museum very interesting location, Park yourself on the white squares, the Green being reserved for EPFL otherwise TSOL (metro) stop EPFL staff then five feet, you'll find multiple cafeterias for you drink or eat a little something good visit to you all

  • Hey guys, if you want visitors even during vacations, you should mark the site better. What about signs? Searched the whole campus (you will not find a hint on the official campus-maps) to find three small signs, two printed on sheets of paper. But where is the entrance? Nice riddle, but not for an official museum.
  • nice museum at the epfl, rather small but worth seeing if you are in the area
