First Cliff Walk by Tissot Reviews

Breathtaking views! The views alone deserve more than five stars but overall the cost to get up there brings the review down to a four. We got there right as the lift opened and didn’t wait in any line; when we made it back down the mountain people were waiting for 1+ just to get tickets. Highly recommend you arrive when the lift opens.
Such a breathtaking location. I was completely torn whether to give this place a four or five star review. After much thought, four stars is a bit more adequate for my experience. If you are a traveler who is going to ski, sled, or participate in any snow activity then this is definitely a five-star location for you. There's a shop just off the gondola that has sleds for rent and other equipment for sale. They also sell sunglasses, gloves, small souvenirs and hand heating pads. Once we were done exploring the actual Cliff Walk, there was not much to do. We tried to maximize our time there so it could be worth the cost of the gondola, but we couldn't find much to do besides enjoy the view. Don't get me wrong the view is gorgeous and will leave you speechless, but the Cliff Walk itself is a very short walk. We stayed for about 2 and 1/2 hours. The walk itself is roughly about a 15 to 20 minute walk at the most. There's a small souvenir shop and restaurant if needed, but you'll have more options when you get back to Grindelwald. We found ourselves entertained by some of the native birds. They're beautiful! We spent about thirty minutes just observing them on the deck. Don't forget your sunglasses, it's super bright up there!
