Architectural Building · Tourist Spot
Resembling the famous Cayan Tower in Dubai, HSB Turning Torso represents the tallest building in Scandanavia and dominates the skyline. Santiago Calatrava designed this futuristic skyscraper, which was completed in 2005, based on his renowned sculpture of a twisting human body. Only two floors are available for public viewing, so scheduling a tour can be a challenge. Photograph its famous figure and explore the architectural detail of the building. When you're finished, you can stroll through the neighborhood; most visitors take time to see the nearby farmers' market. Later you can use the tower as a reference point to navigate the city. Take a look at our Malmo online trip itinerary planner to schedule your visit to HSB Turning Torso and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • This is probably the tallest burning in Sweden and is uniquely designed with a "twist". Worth taking a look when in Malmo.  more »
  • It's not really worth a visit in itself but spend some time at the beach around the bath house and watch the tower from there. Impressive.  more »

  • Looks beautiful especially during the evening & night. It blends into the sky contrast making it distinctive from far. I would have loved it more if they could open this for tourist visit too. Right now it's not open for everyone , just see it from outside :-(
  • The skyscraper is very beautiful and located in an area of great architectural expanse of Malmo. Spanish architect who was inspired by the twist of a human bust. A curiosity is that in front of the skyscraper there is the house of the female protagonist of the television series the bridge, only as regards the exteriors the rest was filmed in the studio.
