On the top, there is a great view over the surroundings, including the now waterfilled pits where the shale was won. The vegetation is mainly grass, but where smouldering heats the soil, you see moss and it smells as if someone was laying tarmac. There are 30 artistic objects, often large, relating to the site and built by selected materials.
