Hamilton Fort, Port Elizabeth

#9 of 11 in Historic Sites in St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Historic Site · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Representing more of a gun-battery than a fort, Hamilton Fort treats visitors to views overlooking Admiralty Bay and Port Elizabeth below, atop a 90 m (300 ft) hill. A few cannons remain in position overlooking the harbor they once protected. The construction was built in the 1700s and named after James Hamilton, the founder of the constitution of the United States.
