Cottle Church, Nevis

#2 of 14 in Historic Sites in Nevis
Historic Site · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Visit Cottle Church, the first integrated church on Nevis island, which opens its doors to all worshippers, regardless of race or social stature. Now in ruins, but well-preserved, you’ll get a chance to read about the history of the church through placards, and see a list of the names of all the slaves who built it. You’ll see monkeys and donkeys on your walk to the church. Pop into the nearby hotel, which serves food, if you’re feeling a bit peckish. With our world travel planner, Nevis attractions like Cottle Church can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.
