Observe the heartfelt conservation work at Elephant Transit Home (ETH), which raises orphaned young elephants with the ultimate goal of their joining a wild herd in the national park. • We went here and was very happy with our visit. It costs 500 rubies to get in .You get to see baby elephant's feeding and drinking. There is around 40-50 elephant's that show up .its great for the whole family. Along the grounds there is information about all the elephant and a giant skeleton remains of one of the elephants .
  • A fantastic opportunity to see orphaned elephants being cared for, with respect and not one chain in sight, unlike other so called elephant sanctuaries I have previously visited. The heart warming aspect, there is no posing or riding with the elephants for a fee, everything is done with the welfare of the elephants in mind. Following your visit you can take the jeep safari to see the elephants roaming free in Ufawalawe reserve, a truly great day out.
