Can reach this ancient temple through Maho-Madagalla-Nikawewa road . Good road all the way to the temple. Ancient Buddhist temple. There is a climb to the upper image house in the middle of the rock..... more »

Tempe is located in such a beautiful surrounding and Mountains in the back ground.Temple and the surrounding area has a rich history.Prince saliya and Ashoka mala has lived here and there are lot of things to see in this area. As it was a short visit for me this time, I am planing to be back again soon. Want to climb the mountain and see the temple in the middle of the mountain . I would say you need few hours to spend there .
