Museo Nacional de Escultura, Valladolid

4.8
Housed inside the Colegio de San Gregorio, Museo Nacional de Escultura contains an array of sculptures dating from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Wooden polychrome pieces, which come mainly from convents, donations, and state acquisitions, figure prominently in the collection. You can usually only admire these pieces from a distance at Spain’s churches and cathedrals, but here you can inspect their intricate details up close. From the outside the cathedral, admire the intricate facade of the 15th-century Colegio de San Gregorio. With our custom trip planner, Valladolid attractions like Museo Nacional de Escultura can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • One of the best museums I have seen, both the building and the sculptures are breathtaking. I would say don't leave Valladolid without seeing it, it is fantastic if you like art.  more »

  • Great museum (although centered on religious sculptures and paintings). If you love art, you will find some items that are worthy of your time. 5€ for it and the Casa de Cervantes is a bargain.
  • A small precious museum in the millenary city of Valladolid
