Castle of the Star (Castillo de la Estrella), Teba

The ruins of the castle are spectacular giving full idea of the grandiosity that the site had at the time, well preserved, the Tower of Homage dominates the whole place. The views of the environment are exceptional dominating all of Teba and its surroundings, highly recommended visit. Guests must book the guided tour of the Tower in advance.

More or less by chance we came across this pile of old stones when we were touring the beautiful landscape. From afar I saw it suddenly lying down. On top of a hilltop this castle was there to be mighty. Looked at Google just as quickly and decided we had to visit this castle. The castle can be easily reached by car. Just below the castle is a parking spot for 5 vehicles. Even around noon we were the only attendees. From here it is a short walk to the ruins. On top of the hill it only falls well that the ruins are more than just the mighty tower and a few walls. The whole summit seems to have been built. We saw in the courtyard of the castle a staircase that led to a closed door. In addition, the opening hours were as you can see in the picture. Unfortunately there was no one present. I would have liked to have taken a look at the tower, or had some extra explanation about the castle. I find it annoying that I found NIEMAMD here on Friday at 12.15 o'clock. These are downpoints. Still a few nice pictures made and the view is beautiful! In the distance the reservoir and a nice view of the Jet village and the magnificent landscape. Recommended if you are in the area. But keep in mind that the Spanish opening hours are not a promise.
