The sanctuary was originally a pre-Christian Celtic shrine and sacred spot. This part of Spain was resistant to conversion to Christianity, and was only converted in the 12th century. The Christians built a hermitage on this location at first, and later the present church in the 17th century.

Everything is well-maintained. There is also a monument and a zero-mark column called "The Path of Santiago."
Very nice. A beautiful spectacle. If you look at the review and it serves you something, give it a I like it. It Doesn't cost that much. It has cost me much more to edit it so you can see it.
When you arrive here at the end of the journey and you find so much beauty everything becomes magical even the wind, the singing of seagulls, find yourself immersed among tourists and pilgrims who ask you to take a picture, look for silence, thank x all this. The Sanctuary has an 18th-century baroque aisle. It is said a legend that on these shores occurred the appearance of the Virgin to the Apostle Santiago x spur him in his preaching. The lighthouse is behind him. Mass at 7 p.m. x who has time and desire.
