Cathedral de Santa Maria, Murcia

You can merely stare at the ornate facade of the mixed Baroque and Gothic Cathedral de Santa Maria and come away feeling satisfied. But inside the 14th-century cathedral sit three intricately detailed chapels, which are not to be missed. Of these, the Chapel of Junterones owns a reputation as one of the Spanish Renaissance's finest. Head up the iconic 90-m (300-ft) bell tower, where some 25 bells toll. Beneath the main altar lies the heart and entrails of Alfonso X, the medieval king of Castile, León and Galicia. • The façade is a masterpiece of The Spanish Baroque, and i forgot the words in the light of the fine work. It is the second largest cathedral in Spain after Sevilla. The big bell tower is 93 meters. In the 18th century, such a tall building was built, and it is the crystal of technology. The cathedral has 20 chapels. The Velez Chapel stands prominently even from outside the cathedral.

  • It is worth visiting this cathedral, it is very beautiful, the variety of chapels it has is magnificent. The entrance is free. Pity a gentleman who must be one of the responsible and that is not very nice. Too bad you can't take pictures.
