  • Short visit to the remains of the convent. You can get into the castle with the same ticket. Worth the visit.  more »
  • An old ruined church building with a claustrum. It is the first thing you see when going to the Morella'castle after paying the common ticket entrance. Ok to have a look.  more »
  • The Franciscan Convent of Morella was born towards 1270, and its community was established in 1272. The works of the convent began on those dates in the Gothic style of the time. Much of the cloister dates from the final decades of the XIII, and the work of the church was also initiated, although it will not be completed until the end of the 14TH century. Exclaustrado because of the confiscation of Mendizábal, in the first half of the XIX, it was after barracks, inter alia, until ending in ruin during the TWENTIETH century, at the end of which began its restoration. Typical Building of the mendicant orders, its gothic remains make it one of the most outstanding buildings of Morella. But It is the fresco painting that is preserved in its old chapter room which makes it a unique ensemble. Work of the 15TH century, a "Dance of Death" and a representation of this one – Death – are preserved quite well, with an arrow being shot towards a "tree of Life", a rare iconography in the Iberian Peninsula. Today The convent is visited together with the castle, and in both have placed a series of posters in which information is given on the various parts of the ensemble, highlighting the magnificent informative panels of the chapter room on the paintings commented.

  • Currently (August 2019) there is an exhibition on the Morelladon, the dinosaur discovered in Morella, and other dinosaurs, almost more interesting than the village dinosaur museum.
