Torre d'en Galmés, Menorca

4.6
Torre d'en Galmés is a Talayotic site on the island of Menorca, between Alaior and Son Bou, Menorca. The town developed from the start of the Talayotic era (1400 BC) and expanded until the end of the Roman occupation, after which it was abandoned. Buildings were reoccupied and adapted by Muslim refugees from the Reconquista (reconquest of Spain by Christian kingdoms) until the end of the Muslim occupation of the island.

  • After seeing reviews and photos of this place I expected more. It’s hard to imagine that people lived in these caves and that place but for me it wasn’t worth the visit and money I paid for ticket...  more »
  • Difficult to imagine that people lived here so exposed, there are many other places with protection. Well explained places throughout your walk through the area.  more »

  • Awesome day out for 3 euros. Full of interesting facts and things to walk round. Good veiw over the south of the island. The man in the cabin was very helpful. Lots of pick nick places an shade to rest
  • Bigger and more interesting than I expected though like most ancient sites disabled access is limited but there are concrete paths around some areas.
