Estadio La Rosaleda is a football stadium in the city of Málaga, in Andalucia, southern Spain. It is the home stadium of Málaga CF in Primera División and was previously that of the Club Deportivo Málaga, of which Málaga CF is heir. The subsidiary Atlético Malagueño also used it as a habitual pitch during his time in the second division. The Costa del Sol Trophy Cup, organized annually by the Málaga Football Club together with the Municipality of Málaga, is held in this stadium. Its capacity is 30,044 spectators, making it the fourth largest stadium in Andalusia.
This replaced the football field Málaga historic arena of Baños del Carmen. When it flooded, the rose garden had to be used for the first time on 13 April 1941 with a fixture between the CD Málaga and AD Ferroviaria. However, the official inauguration took place on 14 September 1941, with a friendly match between the CD Málaga and Sevilla FC. In this game, the CD Málaga also premiered name since its previous name was CD Malacitano.
International matchesThe Rosaleda Stadium was one of the seventeen host stadiums of the 1982 FIFA World Cup, hosting three matches. Throughout its history, it has also hosted seven matches of the Spanish national football team and two friendly matches, one of those matches involving the Andalusian football team.
In 2009, Andalusia became host of the Peace Cup, and Málaga was selected as a host city. La Rosaleda was host to four matches of the 2009 Peace Cup, including the semifinal match between F.C. Porto and Aston Villa F.C..

  • If you want go to a game it is ok meantime as MalagaCF are in the secunda so demand is lower. Dont book online at home - phone or best go to the club shop. 30000 ish capacity and central - 15 min walk...  more »
  • Great awesome stadium and very well served in Malaga I really liked this place and especially see a good game in this great atmosphere place

  • Good safe stadium.. Wide access pathways and wide stairways... Very little space between the pitch and the spectators so you get a good view and feel on top of the Action
  • Fantastic place, riotous atmosphere when the team are playing well & being backed by the locals. Very easy to get to from majority places in Málaga. Always a lot of help to find your way around while at inside & outside of La Rosaleda. Hopefully soon again be a La Liga stadium if the club can achieve promotion from La Liga 123.
