The explanatory video lasts 4 minutes, and the place will not take you more than 10 minutes to watch it with photos included. But of course it's an exceptional thing. For starters you can see the authentic dimensions of the wall of Lugo in Roman times (a minimum of 12 meters high throughout its perimeter). You will be able to see a rare temple of Mitra, with a ara that confirms it, very well preserved. And finally; being in the house of a Roman centurion, victim of the urban speculation of 2000 years ago, is priceless. The man was expropriated from the house to build the wall. You thought it was up to our politicians, but no... By the way the people who were inside were super attentive and friendly.
This was a very interesting museum, but the best part was the museum staff - their English was extrememely good, they were eager to share with us about the collection, they put on an English video just for us and were generally helpful and friendly. If you are a student, pensioner or a teacher then you get discounted tickets but you need ID. I would definitely recommend this.
A very well maintained and organized exhibition, which makes a very impressive site a very pedagogical experience. Only for the initial video would be worth the three euros it costs. It becomes for me, by the importance of a finding of these characteristics, in a fundamental point of Lugo to receive the visits. (Special Mention to the kindness of the people who serve it).
