Puente Romano de Lierganes, Lierganes

The old stone bridge is accessed via a quaint old lane lined with stone houses.Under the bridge...the renowned Hombre Pez...the fishman, a legendary figure with an interesting story! There is a small hut where you can listen to a local guide tell the tale. Only in the summer holiday months however. The bridge is in the old town which has been rewarded the title of "pueblo bonito de Espańa" or "pretty town of Spain".

Beautiful historic area with balconies that are typical of the area. It's a bit out of the way for most travelers, but if you can make it here, it's worth it. The area is very into the fish man legend and there are statues of him.
