Set into a hillside in the interior of Lanzarote, Museo Lagomar offers a showcase of exhibits, including one on the life and acting career of Omar Sharif. Explore the many different sections of the museum, including the house that Sharif owned (however briefly) during a film production in 1972. The art gallery showcases sculptures and paintings from around the world, with a special focus on local artists. Make sure to pay a visit to the museum’s upper levels, as they offer striking views of the surrounding valley and volcanic mounds. Grab a bite to eat at the bar and restaurant, which offers outdoor and indoor seating. Museo Lagomar Reviews
Stopped here for about 45 minutes as part of a tour with our little son. Quite a lot of steps had to carry him as well as take pictures but that was ok. Nice museum and learnt the story on the coach. ... more »
L'architecte s'est bien amusé, en construisant des escaliers, des passages qui montent et descendent sans cesse. Une espèce de petit labyrinthe agréable, où on tombe en arrêt sur des petites piscines,... more »The architect had a great time, building stairs, passages that go up and down all the time. A kind of pleasant little maze, where you come to a stop on small swimming pools, green spaces, rooms in the cliff, natural caves in the lava ... You can drink glass (by buying an extra ticket for 2 euros) in the bar upstairs. Nice view of the large pool, but only 2 tables ideally placed to enjoy, the others are in the shade. So you have to wait or hope to arrive at a time when there is no tourist bus!
Quite an experience. This place is both interesting and sort of beautiful. The other thing of note is that if you are at all challenged mobility wise be advised that there are lots of steps involved very often steep and without handrails, there is even a tunnel with stepping stones in water again no handrails. The redeeming factor is that there are plenty of places to sit and rest. We paid the extra 2 euros for the inclusive drink which we saved until the end.
It is a unique design home partly in the caves of Nazaret. 6 euro fee but someone who appreciate the opportunity to see this unique design it is totally worth it. Recommended it.
