Trip Planner: Europe / Spain / Valencian Country / Province of Castellon / La Vall d'Uixo / Coves de Sant Josep
Explore Coves de Sant Josep, the longest navigable underground river in Europe. Enter into the depths of the earth on a small boat, and view the natural formations as you duck your head under rocks and enjoy the soft music and lighting in the cave. You'll have the chance to explore on foot as well before heading back to the entrance. Portable recordings are available in English to explain what you are seeing. There are also cafes and small shops near the entrance. This attraction is not for the claustrophobic, as you will be going through small, dark areas, sometimes with low ceilings. The cave is large and, although it does not stand out for the stalactics or stalagmites, yes for being navigable or passable almost 1 km. Well lit and explained. It's worth it, yes or yes. Very, very friendly boatman..., although something suffices too (children and bad words are not good mix).
A beautiful location, and definitely worth the 10€, the guide is very knowledgeable (only in Spanish however), and there is even a light and music show within the cave. Unfortunately you aren't allowed to take pictures though.
- I liked almost everything. Good place, free seets, a place to cook barbacoa, and a playground for kids. Includes too some cafeteria and little turism shop. The parking place is 100% free. - I am not giving 5 stars because people put loued rock songs and i didnt enjoyed it. But the place is very enjoyable and shadows are in almost all the park.
