Monte de San Pedro, La Coruna

#2 of 17 in Historic Sites in La Coruna
Historic Walking Area · Tourist Spot
Monte de San Pedro, a military fort turned park, offers great walks with views of the city of A Coruña and out over the ocean. Take the unique panoramic elevator to get up the hill, where you’ll see old bunkers and cannons. The huge reach of those weapons helped to hide German submarines and boats during World War II. Try the on-site restaurant for snacks or a nice dinner. See Monte de San Pedro and all La Coruna has to offer by arranging your trip with our La Coruna trip itinerary planning app.

  • What a beautiful place with an amazing view! It’s a bit windy so take a coat, but is totally worth it! I’ve set on the smoothest grass I’ve ever sat, so green, soft and thick. There are several cannons that were never fired in a battle, and an observatory that is free of charge, with a 360 degrees view and without wind 😅
