  • Before saying goodbye to Jerez we wanted to close the visit by going to the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, and it could not be better colophon. In addition to enjoying watching beautiful horses and how they trained, we are fortunate to have a guide of ten who did not estimate in detail explaining all the details about the life of horses and riders, as well as a whole team of people who live by and par to the horse doing commendable work. Beautiful and manicured gardens; a clean enclosure until neatness; a museum of interest; a curious garrison and friendly staff make this place a must-see, especially if you are going with children.

  • Beautiful demonstration of Andalusian equestrian art. The riders chain the towers and the staging is well-crafted. Despite some repetitive moments, we came out delighted with this visit. The staff are welcoming. We were also able to attend the training sessions and the site visit (not at the museums).

  • Well organized show, staff were helpful and polite. I thought the souvenir shops were poor, badly stocked and very expensive. The grounds are beautiful and the horse show itself was ok, didn’t like the horses being forced to get on their hind legs, rest of the show was fine
  • I was so excited to go and see these horses I was accompanied by a long time friend who is also a qualified British dressage judge. We have both been involved with horses for a very long time, we were horrified to see the way these horses are treated, they were being trained using metal nosebands, some with metal spikes on the underside, many of the horses had scars on their faces and were obviously tense and uncomfortable while being trained. We also saw horses that were lame, but still being pushed to work. We were left feeling upset by everything we saw, to the untrained eye it may look flashy, but to anyone who knows horses it is very disappointing. Defiantly not going back.
