#1 of 428 in Wineries in Spain
At Bodegas Tio Pepe, take a trip back to Jerez's 19th-century glory days as one of the world's leading producers of wine. Board the train to tour the vast grounds of the winery and sherry warehouse, including a round building built by famous architect Gustav Eiffel. See over a hundred barrels ready for export as well as wine barrels displayed with autographs of the rich and famous. Learn how sherry is made and watch the warehouse mice take samples from their own cup of sherry. The tour finishes in the banquet hall, where you can sample dry and sweet sherries. Tour prices vary according to how much wine you choose to sample and whether or not you include tapas with your tasting. • Visit highly recommended and, above all, enjoy if you are accompanied by children, by the train, the explanatory video, the anecdotes about the mice winemakers and, of course, also for adults by the incredible facilities and the exquisite tasting as colophon. We are used to seeing the brand "Uncle Pepe" everywhere, from a young age, but this experience discovers the transcendence of these wineries worldwide and the hard work of an entire family.

  • Last year we were left looking forward to it and this year we didn't miss it. Visit to the winery with children of 5 and 7 years, perfect. You learn a lot that we didn't know and worth the tasting with tapas. Recommended.

  • It was one of the most beautiful and peaceful experiences. I fully enjoyed the personal your and wine tasting. I will definitely be visiting you again soon.
  • This was disappointing. Too focused on bragging about how good their legacy and distribution was and forgot to include any sort of passion about the wines or product or process. Our tour guide showed no interest, was intimidating to those who stopped for a mini second to enjoy the surroundings and didn’t stay to talk us through our wines at the end of the tour. Go to fundador instead, it’s next door and the staff are much nicer and passionate and the tour is much more impressive.... and 3 euro cheaper with 2 more wines to try!
