Atalaya Golf & Country Club Reviews
Played the new course with fairly accomplished golfers who are generally open minded about what to expect when playing a new course. As annual visitors to Spain to play golf the new course in Atalaya ... more »

The Greens were very slow and clearly not mown (everywhere still dew on the Greens). The bunkers were totally uninhirated. During 18 holes we had a huge amount of noise on every hole. It seemed that all the greenkeepers were working at the same time during our round in our neighbourhood. When we stopped just after crossing the road for another flight that went off (out of respect for the other players), we were brutally passed by a motorized (loud) buggy from a greenkeeper! This job is in poor condition and has disrespectful staff. On other jobs nearby you can have a much better golf day for less money. I definitely never come back here!
WOW, WOW, WOW... Atalaya Golf club was outstanding. We played the new course and it was perfect. The course is set up for long drives on some holes and shorter on others so you had to really think about your shots. The par 3's were long and full of trouble so every shot need to be just right. The fair ways and greens were also just set up perfectly and well groomed. The skyline is filled with mountains, ocean views, and beautiful homes across the landscape. The staff are very nice as well. If I ever make it back I will come play here again. Thanks and enjoy!
Really enjoyable course, greens were soft, sadly lots of pitch marks (not the courses fault) Hire clubs were very reasonable at €35 for Taylormade M5 irons and M6 Woods and Driver. Pro shop was expensive for balls and golfing gear in general. I felt the Pro could have saved me the extra €30 for a buggy as I was playing with a 3ball who already had 2 buggies.
