  • great 5km hike best to go during the week and not during the season as it tends to get very busy we went in March on a weekday which was a great time, lovely little waterfalls around every bend loved....  more »
  • Very accesible hiking trail for families and those not willing to take on a demanding walk. Weekends and holidays are best avoided as it gets crowded. Other than that, quite peaceful. Nice spot to do birdwatching. Grey Wagtails abound, Robin and Cetti's Warbler also breed. Dipper still around. Above, keep an eye out for Griffons, Eagles,Alpine Swifts ( spring-summer)..
  • Nice walk along trout stream in the mountains between Benahoma and El Bosque. Best to not walk on weekends as it can be crowded. Weekdays are fine. 1-1/4 hours each way. Parking area next to trail head in Benahoma. In summer best to be off trail by noon due to heat although much of the trail is shaded by trees.
