Puente Zubizuri, Bilbao

#8 of 179 in Things to do in Bilbao
Bridge · Tourist Spot
Stroll across the curved walkway of the unusually shaped steel Puente Zubizuri. Designed by famous Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava and built in 1997, this white suspension bridge spans the Nervión River. A translucent brick deck lines the well-traversed pedestrian bridge, now partially covered to keep pedestrians from slipping in wet weather. Ramps makes the bridge wheelchair accessible. • A modern bridge! Very touristy, but I did understand it. It's more beautiful in the night! There are several attractions better than this one. Turist
