Jardin Botanico de Barcelona
Brimming with plant life and set atop Barcelona’s Montjuic Hill, Jardin Botanico de Barcelona affords visitors a chance to explore both the outdoors and a variety of warm-weather flora. The gardens, founded in 1999, house a collection of plants from Mediterranean climates around the world. Explore the gardens by either following a demarcated route or setting off on your own. Admire the vast array of species, arranged by region, as you make your way up and down the hill. Be sure to bring your camera as the view from the garden’s highest point offers views over the city and the surrounding stadiums from the 1992 Olympic Games. Learn even more about the resident plants and the facility itself through a guided tour or rentable audio guide. Comfortable footwear is recommended as the park is large and the incline of some trails is moderately steep. Our Barcelona journey tool makes visiting Jardin Botanico de Barcelona and other Barcelona attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

Lots of weeds!!! Very poorly maintained garden or plant areas. Not worth the effort and cost of a visit. more »

Some awesome plants! Labels in English too! Obviously lots of walking if you visit, they have a map of a quick 45 minuet visit if you’re wanting a quick tour. Not too busy on a Saturday afternoon in the summer time, it was quite hot. I’d recommend taking a lunch and enjoying a picnic there! Lots of benches to sit and enjoy, lots of shade trees too! Nice little break from the hustle and bustle and buildings of the city.

Free entrance on every first Sunday of a month or every Sunday after 15:00. Very quiet and peaceful area without crowds of people. P.S. There is a very photogenic large tree on the hill to the right from the entrance
