Museo Diocesano Barbastro Monzon, Barbastro

The visit was very complete and interesting, not only for the modern facilities, the work of restoration so effective of many of the works of art exhibited, the heritage, artistic, cultural and religious value of them, but above all for the affection, love, dedication, professionalism and the interest of the museum staff, who explain edatively and in detail the contents of the museum before starting our visit, which makes the effect of a guided tour. It is worth noting the excellent training and the interest in sharing their knowledge with visitors. All this was complemented by an exhaustive information about the cultural and monumental heritage of Barbastro and its surroundings. In addition, we were provided with the contact of a volunteer to take the guided tour to the Cathedral of Barbastro.

Attached to the cathedral complex is the Episcopal Palace - with more than 500 years of history - a 14th-century Renaissance building of brick masonry and topped by a gallery of arches and a large eaves is the seat of the current Diocesan museum. This tastefully renovated building is a contemporary space of pleasant museography that sums up the art of the entire Aragonese territory.
