It developed as an important hub of communications from the Northwest peninsular and enjoyed some prosperity. The main vestige of this stage is its Roman Wall, erected at the end of the 3RD century A.D. in the framework of the fortification process that took place in the Iberian Peninsula because of the incursions of the barbarian peoples from the centre of Europe. • Very friendly. They give you little map, schedules and any information that you have requested. To the side there is a road-related shop and looms wonderful Bishop's Palace opposite. City beautiful, full of history and very friendly inhabitants.
