Also known as "College Street", Seoul Daehangno houses many educational institutions and offers a rich insight into the local arts and culture scene. In this youthful area you'll find a host of cultural hot-spots, including the Dongsung Art Center, Batangol Art Center, and hundreds of small movie theaters. Stop for refreshments in one of a host of cafes, varied restaurants, and pubs. Look out for Marronnier Park: formed on the original site of Seoul National University, the site now hosts concerts, plays, and other such creative endeavours. The atmosphere is made all the more vibrant by local street artists, who freely express themselves within the park.
