Seoul Central Mosque, Seoul

4.5
Religious Site · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Stunning architecture draws visitors to Seoul Central Mosque, the first Islamic mosque in Korea. The first floor houses the Korean Muslim Federation office and a meeting room. Upstairs, the second floor holds the men’s prayer hall; the third floor houses the women’s. The building serves as educational institution for children where they can learn about Islamic religion and culture. As you find your way there, you'll traverse a steep, uphill road where you can see incredible views. A restaurant nearby serves Korean dishes. Keep in mind that only Muslims can enter the mosque. • Nice islam temple. Must follow dress code to enter inside. Many touriss from Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia are visiting here. There are a lot of halal restaurants here
  • The mosque is really nice to visit. It is open to all. Since this is a religious place, you need to wear decently to go inside. The view from the stairs are really beautiful, you can see Seoul city, Han River from there if the weather is good. Very peaceful There are many halal food and grocery stores around here. However i am dissapointed to see a used car tyre thrown on top of the roof at the house beside the mosque, kinda spoil to the beautiful scenery view. I hope the mosque management could advise their neighbours nicely to tidy up their homes.
