Experience the culture of Buddhism at Yakchunsa Temple. The building rises 30 m (98 ft) high and covers an area of 3,305 sq m (35,575 sq ft), making it the largest temple in the East. Keep an eye out for the 5 m (16 ft) "Vairocana" (celestial Buddha) statue right at the entrance, then admire the temple walls, adorned with carved portraits of Buddha.   • I arrived to this temple because it was on my route between Seogwipo waterfalls. I was amazed. I thought I had seen enough temples, but this was something else. It is majestic with the palm trees and little ponds in front of it. This has been one of my favourite temples in South-Korea so far.
