Pocheon Art Valley, Pocheon

It amazes me the Koreans can build an art facility in the middle of nowhere. You just have to endure the long and steep walks (makes you look like a sissy if you complain when you see the old folks that walk up the hills and stairs). Very picturesque considering that we went here during the winter. Must be beautiful in summer. Several kdramas were shot here. We took a tour group. Pros: easy travel to and from seoul. Cons: little time to explore. Place can be seen in an hour and a half but would take a good half day to fully appreciate. Rent a van.

Art sculptures in place. Pretty odd to have a attraction here out of nowwhere. Highlight is this pond, nice for photos. The astronology center at the top is useless and run down, mostly in korean and not tourist friendly.
