  • The temple is located on up of the mountain so even after you take transportation to go there , you still need to walk up to reach the place.. on the sides down there's a lot of fascinating views that is like a piece of arts .. colored leaves .. red.. blue.. orange.. green.. it's amazing at spring time.
  • The temple is beautiful and I highly recommend it if you want to learn about Korean Buddhism. I did a templestay program with some friends and had a great experience. We had a monk teach us the proper way to bow and the importance and history of it. We saw the drum and bell ceremony which was very unique. You could feel the vibrations of the bell shiver through your body if you stand close enough. knowledgable They had the most energetic english guide. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Haeinsa. We got to enjoy a 3 vegan meals prepared by the monks. The gift shops was nice to buy a souvenir and they even have a cafe that sells teas and coffee with a variety of pastries. 10/10 would recommend if you want to experience something new and unique. The temple is over 1000 years old and has a lot of history to be learned.
