Songdo Beach, Busan

Beach · Outdoor Activity
Opened in 1913, Songdo Beach was Korea's first official beach and affords plenty of soft sand and picturesque views of the surrounding pine groves and ocean. Often quiet and peaceful, the beach was frequently damaged by hurricanes, and has recently undergone a five-year overhaul. The now expanded beach has ample room for beach games, inviting water for swimming, and also harbors a walkway allowing you to stroll out over the water. Look out for the statue of a breaching whale out in the middle of the bay (a novel photo opportunity), and consider dining in one of the seafood restaurants in the immediate surrounding area. • Fantastic Beach. Beautiful sea side. You have a Camp Site with caravans, a Park, A Beach, Sky walk. A Cable Car over the sea to Amnam Park. Great View and lots of eating Places
  • We read 'SkyWalk' so we were expecting something a little higher! It is a walkway over the sea just a few metres above the the sea level. There is, in parts, the opportunity to look down through very scratched plexi glass to the sea below, which is also somewhat dark. Don't expect to see fish swimming around underneath the walkway, Busan is a very busy sea port and the sea reflects this. At one point you have to scramble over rocks to reach the viewing area at the end, this could be very difficult for less able folk or wheelchairs,
