  • We passed Klein River cheese on our way back from Struisbaai, this after we first visited Stonehouse on our way in the morning to Stuisbaai. First impression is the smell of fresh farm air and the ani...  more »
  • An excellent "pop-in" and visit, to buy some cheesy comestibles (which are "tip top" by the way) or a "sit and stay a while" and have a picnic on the beautiful garden lawns, whilst the kids play in th...  more »

  • Definitely a place to go. New owners. Sooooo improved. Great deli and cheese tasting spot, and the cheese....... Well, our of this world!!! So yummy 😋 and sincere praise to the lads working there. What a happy, smiley and helpful person. A great asset to the owners business. Highly recommend. Oh, and there is a pettying area with sheep and donkeys. Chickens walking about and a picnic area. BUT.... Do not take your own picnic. Order one there
  • The Klein River Cheese venue is a nice way to spend a casual 2-4 hours in the morning or late afternoon. A stop well suited for parents with young children. The venue hosts a cheese deli, animal touch- farm-situation and a large picnic lawn. The venue is genuinely over-priced and under-staffed; expect to wait. R18 for a single small bread roll, R3 for the butter capsules, R110 for a (R65 cellar price) wine, and R250 for a 2 person cheese platter (containing less than R100 worth of cheese). Expect to wait during peak hours. Won't be returning any time soon.
