Swim with sea turtles and spot killer whales at one of the world's top diving spots in Sodwana Bay, a narrow strip of forested sand dunes within a marine reserve. A paradise for scuba divers and snorkelers, the bay has a 50 km (31 mi) reef complex abundant with wildlife. Nearly 100 hard and soft coral sponge species shelter some 1,200 fish species. Explore deep valleys and submarine canyons stretched over 2 km (1.2 mi), home to the rare West Indian Ocean coelacanth. On land, take a horseback ride along the beach and see popular fishing spots for sailfish, king mackerel, and kingfish.
